Teeth whitening treatment or at-home solutions?

Although medical science dates back thousands of years, practically until the Victorian era, general dental treatment was the pull of the pull. Then, in the time since then, medicine, including dentistry, has taken an exponential leap forward, with successive discoveries leading to the modern, sophisticated techniques we use today. And with the rise of the internet, an incredible amount of information - both false and true - has become available and shareable by all.

Although whitening treatments are available to anyone, there are all sorts of home whitening techniques that promise quick and cheap results - but the reality is that these 'methods', if they work at all, tend to damage teeth, not only to make them less brilliantly white, but to cause problems that would not have developed without experimentation.

In contrast, in-office teeth whitening is completely safe, because the professionals know exactly what materials and tools they are working with, as well as the teeth, and they know exactly what is needed to achieve the desired result!

How does in-office teeth whitening treatment work?

The in-office whitening treatment takes just one and a half to two hours, and the procedure is as follows: first, a dental hygiene treatment is required to remove plaque and tartar. After that, the teeth are polished to allow the bleaching agent to work better. After polishing, a whitening gel is applied to the teeth, which penetrates into the crevices and comes into contact with all discoloured areas, even in the smallest crevices. At the end of the procedure, the teeth can be several shades lighter.

Advice after a whitening treatment

To make the results last longer, a few tips are recommended. Avoid foods and drinks that cause discolouration, such as coffee or red wine, for 1-2 weeks after whitening, and of course smoking is not particularly good for your teeth, so at least cut down on it if possible.
