A bar-retained denture is a stable yet removable restoration anchored to implants, sitting on a metal bar (retention bar) fixed between 2–4 implants. It is as stable as a fixed bridge, but it can be taken out at home for cleaning, so you can keep the restoration much cleaner for long-term success. A bar-retained denture is a good choice if you are living with full or partial tooth loss and want uncompromising stability and confidence – without adhesive, wobbling or worry.
The bar (a metal retention rod) runs between the placed implants, and the denture attaches to it with an internal retention system. The result: a fixed feel while chewing, a natural appearance, and easy removal for hygiene.
