PureDental - Services
Many people put off dental treatment not because they don’t want to address the problem, but because they are afraid of the procedure itself. Our goal is to make necessary dental treatments accessible to those who have previously postponed them due to fear, anxiety, or past negative experiences.
At PureDental, we offer dental treatment not only under local anesthesia but also under sedation or general anesthesia. With our team of qualified anesthesiologists and personalized solutions, we help ensure that you have a calm and comfortable experience during your treatment.
Our goal is to make necessary dental treatments accessible to those who have put them off due to fear, anxiety, or past negative experiences.
When is it recommended to choose one of these methods?
These two options are not the same, so it’s important to briefly clarify the difference between them.
Sedation is a milder, gentler option. During sedation, the patient relaxes, calms down, experiences significantly reduced anxiety, and finds the treatment much more comfortable. Sedation is therefore a good option primarily for those who are afraid of dental procedures, experience significant anxiety, or have a heightened gag reflex, but do not necessarily require general anesthesia.
General anesthesia is a more advanced option. In this case, the patient sleeps during the procedure and is unaware of the treatment, which can be particularly beneficial for longer, more complex dental or oral surgery procedures, or for patients for whom this is the safer and more comfortable option due to high levels of anxiety or difficulty cooperating.
The most important question isn’t which one is “better,” but which one is the more appropriate choice in a given situation.
Sedation is generally ideal when the goal is to relieve anxiety and make the treatment a more pleasant experience. General anesthesia, on the other hand, is recommended for longer procedures, when multiple treatments are performed at once, or when the patient’s safety is best ensured by not feeling anything during the procedure.
What they have in common is that safety is of the utmost importance in both cases. At PureDental, both sedation and general anesthesia are always administered by a board-certified anesthesiologist and an anesthesia assistant.
Important: General anesthesia naturally requires prior medical examinations and consultations in every case. Each patient receives personalized information regarding the exact details, as the decision regarding anesthesia eligibility and preparation is always based on a personalized medical assessment.
A feszes, tisztítható ínyszélért
We have compiled answers to the questions our patients ask most frequently regarding anesthesia and sedation.
No. Whether you’re under sedation or general anesthesia, the procedure is completely painless. Sedation helps you relax and reduces anxiety, while under general anesthesia you’ll be asleep throughout the procedure and won’t feel a thing.
During sedation, you are awake but in a calm, relaxed state, whereas under general anesthesia, you are completely asleep during the procedure. The choice depends on the severity of your anxiety, as well as the length and complexity of the procedure.
At PureDental, general anesthesia is always administered under the supervision of a specialist. An anesthesiologist and a specialized assistant ensure continuous monitoring and maximum safety.
During a personal consultation, we will discuss your condition, the planned treatment, and your level of anxiety in detail. Based on this, we will help you choose the safest and most comfortable option.
Today, dental treatments can be performed without pain or anxiety. Schedule a consultation, and let’s find the best solution for you together.
