PureDental - Services
Aesthetic, healthy smiles using modern methods, for children and adults alike
Do you have protruding, crowded, or irregular teeth? At PureDental’s clinic in District II, we offer state-of-the-art orthodontic solutions, including invisible aligners and fixed appliances.
Orthodontics is not just about aesthetics; it improves bite, chewing, speech, and, in the long term, oral hygiene. It is never too late to start, and spectacular, lasting results can be achieved even in adulthood.
Orthodontic treatment is not just about aesthetics: well-aligned teeth protect the jaw joints, prevent tooth wear and periodontal disease. Most of the conditions listed below can be treated in both teenage and adult years.
Crowded, overlapping teeth
Teeth overlap one another, making cleaning difficult and increasing the risk of tooth decay.
Spacing / gaps between teeth (diastema)
Larger spaces between teeth, especially at the incisors – an aesthetic and functional concern.
Protruding upper teeth (overjet)
Carries an increased risk of trauma and wear, and can cause jaw problems in the long term.
Deep bite
The upper incisors overlap the lower ones excessively – causing tooth wear and gum problems.
Open bite
The incisors do not meet when biting – causes difficulty chewing and speaking.
Crossbite
A source of asymmetric loading and joint complaints – preventable with early treatment.
Relapsed teeth
Movement after previous orthodontic treatment due to inadequate retention – correctable with further treatment.
Implant / crown preparation
Creating space for optimal prosthetic placement – with targeted, partial orthodontic treatment.
Temporomandibular joint problems (TMJ)
Headaches, earache, clicking – caused by bite discrepancies, treatable with orthodontic treatment.
Crowding caused by wisdom teeth
The dental arch compresses after eruption – treated promptly, more extensive correction can be avoided.
With modern devices, orthodontic treatment is now faster, more comfortable, and more discreet than ever before. It helps prevent wear and tear, joint strain, and oral hygiene problems caused by malocclusion.
The following advantages enable effective, precise, and gentle treatment:
No two cases are the same – and not every solution suits every patient. At your consultation, we recommend the most appropriate appliance tailored to your lifestyle, needs and bite.
The most reliable and widely used solution. The archwire running through brackets bonded to the teeth gradually and precisely guides tooth movement – the patient cannot remove it, so treatment progresses continuously.
Who it's recommended for
Teenagers and adults with complex bite discrepancies, significant crowding, or requiring space preparation before a prosthetic restoration.
The same precise technology as metal brackets – in a tooth-coloured finish. Ceramic brackets are difficult to notice even up close, while the treatment outcome remains of identical quality.
Who it's recommended for
Adults for whom a more discreet appearance is a priority, but who prefer the precision of a fixed solution and independence from wearing compliance.
Transparent, custom-made plastic aligners that are changed every two weeks after being worn 20–22 hours per day. Thanks to digital 3D planning, you can see the expected final result before treatment even begins. Invisalign® is the world's leading system, while Spark® is a particularly transparent and stain-resistant alternative.
Who it's recommended for
Adults and teenagers for whom discretion and comfort come first. Excellent for mild-to-moderate crowding, spacing and bite discrepancies – for compliant patients.
Not every adult needs the same orthodontic appliance. At your consultation we listen to your needs and lifestyle, then recommend the best-fitting solution – which can also be combined with a smile design.
At your orthodontic consultation you will receive a personalised recommendation – based on your bite, lifestyle and expectations.
Book a consultation appointmentYes. Teeth can be moved throughout life, and adult orthodontic treatment is now standard clinical practice. Our patients in their 30s, 40s and 50s achieve remarkable, lasting results – barely noticeable thanks to clear aligners and ceramic brackets.
Health
Well-aligned teeth carry a lower risk of tooth decay, gum inflammation and periodontitis – making cleaning easier.
Function
Jaw joint, neck and upper back complaints, headaches, teeth grinding and tooth wear are alleviated.
Prosthetic preparation
We also use it as a space-creating treatment prior to implant placement or the fabrication of a crown or bridge.
Confidence
A noticeable advantage in professional and social settings – a well-aligned smile brings natural self-confidence.
Restoring a previous result
If teeth have relapsed after childhood orthodontic treatment, they can be corrected with a shorter course of treatment.
An orthodontic specialist can monitor dental development from as young as 5–7 years old and intervene in good time. Early (interceptive) treatment prevents adult tooth extractions, jaw surgery and lengthy corrective treatments.
When should you first see a specialist?
Age 5–7
First screening examination
Assessment of jaw development and oral habits (thumb sucking, mouth breathing). An appliance is not necessarily fitted at this stage.
Age 9–11
Early (interceptive) treatment
If crowding, a bite irregularity or mouth breathing is evident – the jaws can still be guided at this stage.
Age 12 and above
Fixed appliance / Invisalign First®
If a discrepancy remains after the permanent teeth have erupted, we treat with fixed brackets or Invisalign First® aligners.
Characteristics of children's orthodontic treatment
Growing jaws
development can be guided (e.g. expanding a narrow jaw), preventing more extensive oral surgery later
Removable appliances predominate
activators, expansion plates, functional appliances
Space maintenance
preserving space for permanent teeth after early loss of a baby tooth
Habit correction
thumb sucking, tongue thrusting and mouth breathing can be addressed in good time
In teenage years
fixed appliances or Invisalign First® may also be considered
Treatments are performed exclusively by qualified orthodontists with more than 10 years of experience. Precision, discretion, and patient comfort are our top priorities at our clinic.
At our clinic, the process always begins with a detailed assessment of your condition. Using digital X-rays, 3D CBCT imaging, and intraoral scanning, we accurately map the position of your teeth, bite abnormalities, and the condition of your joints. We then discuss the possible appliances, the expected duration of treatment, and the costs with you in detail, providing you with a transparent, personalized treatment plan.
Using a modern digital scanner, we create an accurate 3D visual plan without taking impressions, with the help of special software. In the case of invisible braces, we plan the entire treatment process in advance, so you can see what your smile will look like before treatment begins.
Depending on the device chosen, we will fit fixed braces or provide transparent aligners. Check-ups take place every 4–6 weeks for fixed devices and every 6–8 weeks for aligners, when we fine-tune the settings and check oral hygiene.
After removing the appliance, the teeth are stabilized with a retention splint and an arch bonded to the back surface of the teeth.

Areas of expertise
We have compiled answers to the questions most frequently asked by our patients about orthodontics.
The duration of treatment varies from person to person, but is usually between 12 and 24 months. Minor aesthetic corrections can be achieved in as little as 6 to 9 months, while complex bite disorders may require 24 to 30 months.
Orthodontic treatment is not painful, but temporary pressure and tension may occur when the appliance is fitted or adjusted. This is a natural part of tooth movement, usually lasts for 1-2 days, and can be treated with simple painkillers.
Fixed appliances (metal, porcelain) and invisible aligners (Invisalign®, Spark®). The choice depends on your needs, the position of your bite, and the desired level of discretion.
In addition to fixed appliances, special toothbrushes, interdental cleaners, and mouthwash are recommended. Invisible aligners must be removed before every meal and then replaced after thorough tooth brushing. You will receive personalized oral hygiene advice at our clinic.
Orthodontic treatment does not end when the appliance is removed. Teeth tend to shift back, so a retention splint and archwire are necessary for lasting results. The duration of retention is individual, but is usually at least twice the duration of treatment.
The price depends on the type of device chosen, the length of treatment, and the extent of the bite deviation. At PureDental, we always provide a detailed, personalized quote with no hidden costs.
Yes. Teeth can be moved throughout one’s entire life, and treatment yields remarkable results even in one’s 30s, 40s, and 50s. Thanks to the invisible aligners and porcelain brackets, the treatment goes unnoticed even in a workplace setting.
The first screening exam is recommended around the age of 5–7—you won’t necessarily receive an appliance, but we can detect any abnormalities in jaw development and oral habits (thumb-sucking, mouth-breathing) in a timely manner.
