Dental assessment and diagnostics

The first step towards a confident, carefree smile

Would you like to know exactly what is causing your dental problems? At PureDental’s clinic in District 2, we will identify the problem with a comprehensive dental assessment and painless diagnostic tests, then work with you to discuss and agree on a personalized treatment plan.

The first consultation with the dentist

If this is your first visit to PureDental, the first appointment will begin with a relaxed, personal consultation, during which you can get to know your dentist, discuss your concerns, and share what dental procedures you are interested in.

Our goal is to lay the foundation for the success of your dental treatment with a thorough, detailed assessment of your condition. During the consultation, we perform painless diagnostic and physical examinations to get a complete picture of the condition of your teeth.

Based on the information received and your needs, we will draw up a detailed treatment plan, which we will discuss with you in a clear and understandable manner. The first meeting is non-binding – it gives you the opportunity to learn about the treatment options in a relaxed atmosphere and get answers to all your questions.
If you are satisfied with the proposed plan, we can arrange an appointment for the procedures immediately after the consultation, even at short notice.

Why is dental diagnostics important?

An accurate diagnosis is the basis of every successful treatment. With the help of digital X-rays, panoramic imaging, and CBCT, we can reveal details that are invisible to the naked eye. This allows us to detect cavities, inflammation, bone changes, and even focal diseases in a timely manner.

How does dental assessment and diagnosis work at PureDental?

With digital X-ray and 3D imaging equipment, we can quickly and painlessly identify the cause of the problem, allowing us to create an accurate and personalized treatment plan.

Frequently asked questions

We have compiled the most frequently asked questions and answers regarding dental assessments and diagnostic examinations.

How long does a dental assessment and consultation take?

A comprehensive dental examination and consultation usually takes 30–45 minutes. During this time, your oral cavity will be examined and a digital panoramic X-ray will be taken in all cases. If necessary, a 3D CBCT scan may also be recommended.

Based on dental examinations, we prepare a personalized treatment plan and discuss it with the patient. At PureDental, the goal of every consultation is to provide an accurate diagnosis and a long-term, lasting solution—with personalized attention and comprehensive information so that you can make a confident decision.

At PureDental, we find solutions for all dental problems, whether it’s prevention, cosmetic improvements, or complex rehabilitation. Our treatments include:

  • General dentistry: regular check-ups, fillings, tartar removal, tooth extraction, root canal treatment.

  • Cosmetic treatments: teeth whitening, cosmetic fillings, ceramic veneers, smile design.

  • Dental prostheses and implants: full and partial removable dentures, dentures with clasps, All-on-4™, implants for all needs.

  • Oral surgery: wisdom tooth removal, cysts, and minor surgical procedures.

  • Periodontology: treatment of gum inflammation and periodontal disease, long-term tooth preservation.

  • Orthodontics: for children and adults, with invisible aligners and traditional braces.

  • Complex rehabilitation: combined treatment plan for simultaneous restoration of function and aesthetics, with digital design and premium materials.

Every treatment is preceded by a personalized assessment and precise diagnosis, so you can be sure that the recommended procedures are tailored to your specific needs and condition.

Intraoral digital X-rays are suitable for examining one or a few teeth, for example in cases of inflamed teeth, root canal treatment, or implant checks.

It provides a detailed image of the affected area, helping to make an accurate diagnosis and develop a personalized treatment plan. It complements panoramic X-rays when a detailed examination of a specific tooth is required.

Digital panoramic X-rays provide a quick and painless assessment of the entire dentition, jawbones, joints, and sinuses. They can be used to detect cavities, inflammation, hidden foci, and missing teeth, and support the planning of orthodontic treatment or implantation.

The recording is made immediately in our clinic without a referral and can also be provided in digital form. It is recommended to repeat this annually, especially in the case of implants, root-treated teeth, or wisdom teeth.

CBCT provides a detailed, three-dimensional image of the teeth, jawbones, joints, and sinuses, enabling a more accurate diagnosis and treatment plan than traditional X-rays.

It is particularly useful in cases of implantation, bone replacement, complex root canal treatment, focus detection, or wisdom teeth that are difficult to remove.

The examination is quick, painless, available without referral, suitable for all ages, and the images can be transferred in digital form, making them easy to share with other doctors.

A panoramic X-ray is a two-dimensional image that shows the entire dentition, jawbones, and joints—ideal for general checkups and focal point research. In contrast, 3D CBCT provides a layered, three-dimensional image of tooth and bone structures, which is essential when planning implantations, bone grafts, or complex root canal treatments.

No, modern dental imaging procedures involve low radiation exposure and pose no health risks. The radiation dose from a panoramic X-ray is equivalent to that of a single flight. A 3D CBCT scan involves a higher dose, but is still completely safe.

At PureDental, we only use low-dose digital equipment, and we only use it when it’s really needed to plan the right treatment.

However, for the safety of the fetus, we do not perform panoramic X-rays or 3D CT scans on pregnant women!

No, all dental X-rays and CBCT examinations are completely painless. The imaging takes a few minutes, during which you sit comfortably and won’t even notice that the examination has taken place.

The most important considerations:

  • Transparency
Have the problem and the proposed treatment been explained clearly? Do you understand why the intervention is necessary?

  • Professional credibility
Does the clinic have experienced dentists and specialist qualifications?

  • Quality of diagnostics
Were accurate X-rays or 3D CBCT images taken? Is the treatment plan personalized or standardized?

  • Treatment alternatives
Were you offered several options and explained the advantages and disadvantages?

  • Prices and warranty
Did you receive a fair quote with no hidden costs? Is there a warranty for the work?

  • Environment and communication
Is the atmosphere friendly, do you feel comfortable? Do you receive enough attention and answers to all your questions? Do you feel safe with your dentist?
